What is CBN?
CBN, or cannabinol, is a minor cannabinoid and a derivative of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, known by its more common name of THC. When THC ages and is exposed to sunlight, it becomes CBN. But unlike its parent compound, CBN has sedative-like properties, so while it does not get you “high” like THC. CBN is helpful in promoting relaxation and calming effect on the body and mind, similar to the way other cannabinoids work in the body’s endocannabinoid system, CBN binds to CB1 receptors.
 
What is CBG?
CBG, or cannabigerol is a minor cannabinoid derived from the cannabis plant and is commonly referred to as the “mother of all cannabinoids because every cannabinoid is derived from the acidic form of CBG: cannabigerolic acid (CBGA). CBG typically makes up less than one percent of the cannabis plant by weight, but cannabigerolic acid is an integral part of the plant’s production of CBD, and THC. CBG is helpful in promoting mental and physical relaxation.

CBG and CBN are both effective for sleep, but in different ways. CBG is effective at addressing issues that make falling asleep difficult, while CBN is more effective at directly promoting sleep.
